2019 In the vineyard
A rather mild winter with a cold spell at the end of December. A sunny start to the year until the end of March. The mild weather of a few fine days in April triggered the start of the vegetative cycle.
The rains in May increased the risk of downy mildew and powdery mildew. Fortunately, warmer and drier weather in June favored vegetative development. The summer heat, coupled with a lack of water, caused some sunscald damage. The warm and sunny weather in August and September, combined with cool nights as harvest time approached, allowed the vines to experience exceptional ripening.
The harvest began on September 10th for the family domain. The excellent health of the grapes, high ripeness, and perfect balance suggest an exceptionally high-quality vintage. The wines are rich, concentrated, elegant, and structured. They have excellent aging potential.

2014 In the vineyard
A particularly gray and wet winter with excessively high temperatures, spring was very dry. The vine’s growth cycle progressed favorably without any downy or powdery mildew pressure. July saw the return of stormy weather. The vineyard was lush and healthy. After a warm start to summer, the wet and sunless month of August slowed ripening.
The harvest began on September 13th. A beautiful vintage. The Chardonnays are rich and powerful, and the Pinot Noirs are sensual and luscious.

Our Domain :

Respect for our vines is a daily preoccupation and we look to explore all techniques and routes which allow for a greater respect for our vineyards and favour a natural balance.
There is no point in doping our vines, it is useless to try and replace Mother Nature; often it is enough to simply use common sense.

We work every day to abandon certain practices, certain reflections of a sometimes mindless viticulture. The respect of soils translates in a desire to favour the life which reigns here by banning all root herbicides, by prohibiting all fertilizers which could distort the natural minerality… and thus the expression of the terroir.

Nine generations come and go and mingle to allow the transition of family history. Come and visit us.
We will tell you about the discovery of our exploitation, our vineyards located on the hills of Ambonnay-Bouzy, our presses, the winery and cellar located in our old village through three production sites.
Then we finish with the flute of friendship. An appointment is preferred, you can contact us by phone or email.
